Forum Software Change!

Alright guys! So I took the plunge and moved us over to the new software, we are now running on it! I have not had time to do much more than import the old data so I'll work on the theme and other things over time. However, I just wanted to let you know that the change was made which is why things look soooo different. However, I think you'll find this software much much better. Please do report any issues here as well if you find them as you start using it, it may take a little time to get used to this but I think you'll really like it and it's going to be much easier to maintain as well. Things like sending photos in your private messages already work right now out of the box. I have some work to do fixing up some of the other new features but hang tight.

We now have room here for photo albums, at the top on the media tab you can go and make albums for your various cars. :)

Thanks! I hope everyone will adjust easily to the new setup, it's a huge leap forward for the site. There a lot of things you can do now that I was never able to implement on the old software.
 
nice thing there isnt tapatalk to deal with.... some other forums i use have transferred (sold out) to tapatalk and have ruined the forums. made it harder to navigate and lots of annoying adds. the one site i am hardly on due to this fact. alot of those forum members quit as well-forum members of 15+ years...

Of course! Good to see you back on the forum BTW! I'll be doing this for as long as I can, I just dropped a good chunk of change on the next 3 years of hosting in fact, as well as the new forum software so I'm still dedicated, just have a lot of other life stuff going on, but I am doing my best to make sure you guys have a good place to hang out that is stable, and up to date, not plastered with ads and enjoyable to use for those of us who still tinker with these cars. :)

Yeah I hate tapatalk with a passion! We will never have that here, I'd sooner shut down the forum (not going to happen I'm just saying), it's a big part of why this website still exists was my hatred of tapatalk and wanting to make sure there was a modern site available that wasn't full of junk. It's been a learning process for me, I really thought I could build on phpBB (our old forum software) and make it into what I imagined, but after spending several years and a lot of money on it, hiring outside help etc it just still sucked. I'm very excited about this new software though (zenforo) I actually discovered it because it is used to run a vintage computing forum that I've been on for years and was very very impressed with it.
