Parts Catalog

I have one in my possession. Covering the Mk2 / Mk3 I don't know the cross referenced GM parts numbers as this is a Suzuki Genuine Product Parts Catalog.

Does your part manual give a Suzuki part number for a left rear sway bar mounting pad that would be found in a 1991 Turbo Firefly?

Are you looking for the steel reinforcement that is welded to the unibody that carries the threads for the bolts?

Nowhere for sure. If you are just looking for the bracket that holds the bar, I bet someone has one as I presume they are identical to GTs of the same year.

If you can't cut one off a salvage yard car, and maybe even if you can, it is always possible to install the bar as you would an aftermarket bar on a car that never had them, by drilling through the floor of the hatch and getting hardware long enough to run bolts through to the other side. You should reinforce when installing by running the bolts through a flat steel or aluminum bar extended all the way between the mounts on the hatch floor (hardware store purchase) to act as a washer and keep the trunk from splitting.

Yes thank you I am looking for that. I have one from a 95 for the left side but it is way different than the right side. I have three choices. Hope to find an original piece (won't hold my breath), reshape and cut/alter the piece I have, or create a new piece from scratch. The right side is in. I will only use the drill and reinforce route as a last resort.

First order of this post is to graciously thank Teeth for the part number!

Well Holy Fawq! I just paid $28.74 US for a factory stamping including shipping and a promise of delivery for no later than February fifth. GM charged me $180 for theirs. Damn I'm liking the helpful people in this forum! :p

My tracking number tells me my bracket arrived in Vancouver this morning, cleared customs and was given to Canada Post before 11 am. I should see it Monday or Tuesday

Well it arrived yesterday at noon but I wasn't home so I picked it up at the local post office today. First time I ever got anything from Japan.
This is the key to my rear sway bar install on a car that never had one with all factory parts. Thank you thank you thank you!!! :D

I have spent well over $7k collecting parts for my 15P (St. Germaine Red) GTi for it's factory correct restoration. I hope to asssemble all my components before the close of the year and then start on my 26U (Superior White) GTi. I have been very fortunate to be able to source my parts from all over the world using resources such as this.
