Image Breezy starts but wont stay running. I couldn’t dig in today so it will have to wait until after the weekend. Had to come home to prepare for a trip to see Cody Bunting near Red Deer then on to Prince Albert to see Ralph Morris

I replaced the missing intake hose clamps, no change. I installed and observed coil function with an ST125, good. I installed an inline fuel pressure tester, 36psi good. I replaced the rebuilt new injectors for used… it runs but only on two, #2 cylinder not firing, compression test 150 (turbo engine - new - good) pull #2 injector, inspect filter screen, remove dead winged ant carcass from injector, re-install, good. Breezy lives as a turbo now. Tomorrow we insure it and bring it home so I can finish out the exhaust and the tranny harness install. Yea!

Breezy and I made a mess, but Casper and I went back and cleaned it up. Dish soap makes a good floor degreaser! Many thanks to my bride for the dish soap, and to my friend (I use that word sparingly) Kevin Puhl who graciously offered the us space and the time to store and work on Breezy over the winter. I couldn’t have done this without his physical help either. I gleefully remain in your debt sir.
Breezy Is quieter than even a new one. The turbocharger has a natural quieting effect on the exhaust and combined with a fast light off catalytic converter in the down pipe and a full emissions legal OEM style Bosal exhaust that I had Competition Muffler of Saskatoon adjust to fit. They have done good quick work for me before and I’m happy with their work and service today too.
Breezy’s heart is the last 3Tech long block engine to be created by Michael Cove. The head has a full performance workover including Aveo springs and the block was bored to 75mm with Suzuki Vitara pistons installed. It was built with a 222/365 cam, but for it’s new home the stock N/A cam was reused. It runs smoother than any G10 I’ve ever owned, makes nice smooth power, has great driveability and is REMARKABLY quiet. My goal of creating a safer car for my bride has been achieved. Thank you all who cheered me on along the way.

I was working to figure out the BTSI operation today, wanting it to work as designed and not any time the brake was applied. I had a look at the schematic and found a black wire at the connector shifter switch had a constant ground when it should have had 12volts with the key on. I cut the wire to eliminate the ground and applied a splice to the 12 ign feed. Two things happened. The btsi started working as designed, and Breezy started shifting on her own. We can leave it in drive now with all normal up and down shifts being controlled by the TCM. The system still wants to see a 12v TPS signal so if you put the throttle down more than a little it wont hold on to the gear like it should. But this proves that all it needs is a 12v stepped TPS to gain back that function. My bride won’t be putting her foot into it so for bopping around town it’s a winner.

I will no longer support Jess Tremblay or TurboMS Canada. They cannot rebuild a turbo for the life of them and they won’t honour their warranty
