I’ve owned 3 convertibles and two hatchbacks in the past 15 years and I used to be active on teamswift. I’ve been lurking here, but just made an account today.

Picked this bad boy up in Dec for only $1100. It needed brake lines and a new top.
Replaced the top first in a day and
upon further inspection I ended up replacing both rear brake lines, fuel lines all the way to the tank, fuel filter, timing belt(I was able to rip the teeth out with my fingernails) valve cover gasket, distributor gasket, water pump,

Mod so far was I cut the a/c pulley part off the crankshaft pulley which saved about 1.2lbs of weight off the pulley.
I also installed the tallest 13″ tire I could find(westlakes)
Unsure of MPG because I just started driving it and I have not gone through a tank yet, but been doing low 70’s highway and I can feel the car dragging…so
I am working on making a front damn cover in CAD that will clip on to the front bumper to block half of the air dam and I am going to make a rear bumper belly pan for starts

Buffed the car and this is how it sits now. Oh and the 15″ subwoofer is counterproductive to my mpg goals, but it was in most of my geo’s so that’s fun for me :D

I could probably throw a 10″ in there just fine, but I think it’s funny because people don’t expect it, I’m 37 now and there’s no way I can listen to it at even half power for long durations.

I had headwork done form a guy in Canada on teamswift, any idea who that was and if he is still around. He did great work.

My other vehicles include a
2000 Audi A6 2.7t boosting 15psi
2003 Nissan 350z with a self installed turbo/tune boosting around 6psi
and a 2007 Kia Sorento with a custom electric plow mounted to it

I bought a sheet of 1/16″ plastic in order to look for ways to add a rear undertray, but it seems it would be more of a hassle than it’s worth, so I returned it for now

Right now I am getting 43mpg at around 65-75mph tires at 45psi and timing advanced.

Today I am lowering the front end to match the rear sag(cutting coils). My front end is ¾″ higher than the rear 2.75″ wheel to fender gap vs the rear 2″ gap.

Haha, that’s awesome! I only put it at max bass when a younger kid pulls up next to me or someone else is cranking their music. Some people think it’s funny. I had one guy look over and mouth “is that you?” and points to my car and I mouthed “yes” we both laughed and he took out his phone to record.

This car gets more thumbs up and waves from people of all ages on the highway. It’s now my daily driver.
